Daily Sketch Project Day 75 - Super Saiyan 3 Nappa

Hey erryone! Today's prompt comes from Julian, who wanted to see Super Saiyan 3 Nappa. The man himself survives nowhere NEAR long enough to reach that level (spoilers I guess), but here's a possible version of what he could look like if he had. Weird to imagine that alternate universe, BUT even so.

The obviously comic dilemma when imagining such is how the hair is going to work. In every observed SSJ 3 transformation, the hair grows much longer, but except in a flashback that might be anime-only, Nappa has no hair on his head but a moustache and eyebrows. So the question is if he's naturally bald, or if he shaves his head. If he shaves it, does he just like that look, or is he going through Saiyan-pattern baldness? At any rate, I imagined that Nappa has a receding hairline, and shaves it for aesthetic reasons. But SSJ 3 won't have any of that, so it grows his hair back out plenty long, if still not where his hairline might once have been. At any rate, he seems fairly satisfied with it. Since the eyebrows disappear in SSJ 3, now I'm wondering if I should have nixed the moustache as well... Not that we're going to apply some kind of sensible science to the ends and outs of Super Saiyan transformations, but I've always had this jokey idea that because the hair on the pate has to grow so much that all other hair all over the body retreats to fuel that growth, making SSJ 3 hairless everywhere else, at least during the transformation. I'd like to know Toriyama's reasoning on the eyebrowlessness... Maybe he just thought it looked more threatening or alien. I dunno.

ANYWAY, Dragonball Z musing aside, I hope you and everyone like it Julian! Thanks for the lovely prompt. It was fun to draw some DBZ style again after so long. Sailor Moon and DBZ back to back for DSP. What are the odds on that?
